Butch’s Plumbing and Heating home care policies.

 

We are a family-run business with over 13 years of experience in the industry. We pride ourselves on customer service, and our reviews speak for themselves. We are a smaller business with a more close-knit clientele. Unlike a lot of the ‘big guys’ we are still able to offer a very personal service to our customers where we can meet their specific needs and circumstances. Because we aren’t a huge conglomerate we are also not vulnerable to mass striking ( British Gas 2020) leaving thousands of customers without heating or hot water because they simply didn’t have the engineers to sustain their paying customer base. We on the other hand are limiting our customer base to ensure we can meet their realistic demands. When you call us you speak to a real person. No computerised answering bots to send your call to the right department or frustrating phone calls with people who don’t have the know-how or aren’t engineers. When you phone Butch’s Plumbing and Heating you will speak to one of three people… Jack- director and head engineer, Sam- lead plumbing and heating engineer or Karis- office manager who has been in the industry for seven years and is very knowledgeable. 

 

 

Once the subscription is submitted we will arrange a site inspection. We will bring along the documents for you to sign and leave your copy with you.

A) Boiler cover (£60 excess per claim) £20 per month

 

. Annual boiler service

. Boiler breakdown and controls cover

 

What’s included?

 

  •     Repairs to your gas boiler and controls, including your thermostat and programmer

  •     Annual service of your boiler to make sure it's running safely and efficiently

  •     Accidental Damage

  •     Up to £500 to gain access and make good for each repair

  • Priority calls out.

  • 20% discount on any quoted works.

  •     Repairs to your gas central heating system, including boiler, controls, radiators and hot water cylinder.

  •     Annual service of your boiler to make sure it's running safely and efficiently.

  •     Accidental Damage.

  •     Up to £500 to gain access and make good for each repair.

  • Priority calls out.

  • 20% discount on any quoted works.

C) Boiler, central heating and mains water system (£60 excess per claim) £35 per month

. Annual boiler service

. Boiler breakdown and controls cover

. Central heating cover

. Hot and cold water pipes within the boundary walls of the property i.e. inside the home.

 

What’s included?

  •     Repairs to your gas central heating system, including boiler, controls, radiators and hot water cylinder.

  •     Annual service of your boiler to make sure it's running safely and efficiently.

  •     Repairs to the plumbing system in your home.

  •     Accidental Damage.

  •     Up to £500 to gain access and make good for each repair.

  • Priority call-out

  • 20% discount on any quoted works.

Terms and conditions.

. All policies are subject to an initial survey.

. We reserve the right to cancel a policy at anytime.

. We do not cover boilers over 15 years old

. We do not cover bath or shower seals.

. Failure to provide the service record for your boiler may result in voiding your contract.

. We cover up to £500 worth of work on the boiler. If its quoted to be higher than this we may deem it ‘beyond economical repair’. At this point a quote will be provided with your 20% discount applied to replace the boiler. We do not cover boiler replacements.

. We do not cover removing sludge from your boiler/ system or the subsequent damage it causes to parts or the system.

. We do not cover when there is a design fault with the system causing an issue.

. We do not cover faults caused by someone else who has tried to fix or improve the boiler/ system.

. Once the terms are agreed and therefore the direct debit is set up you agree to enter into a yearly contract where it can not be cancelled until the renewal date. You do get a 14 day cooling off period where you can cancel anytime free of charge as long as no claim has been made. If a claim has been made there will be a charge depending on the nature of the claim.

. If a claim is made and we are called out to a job where there is no fault present we reserve the right to charge for our time on site and travel. Our minimum charge for any job is £60 + vat.

. We will not replace your boiler or hot water cylinder. 

. We do not cover sanitary wear, showers or the parts they comprise of, shower pumps, condense pumps or the parts they all comprise of.

. We will repair kitchen, bath and basin taps or offer a basic standard replacement. If you are not happy with the proposed replacement we will fit a tap you supply along as it is like for like with no extra features.

. Normal working hours are between 8-4. If we have to attend an emergency callout out of these hours we do charge an out of hours charge of £72 inc vat.

. We do not cover baths with jets in them.

. We do not cover bidet’s.

. We do not cover inset taps.

. We do not cover garbage disposals.

. We do not cover boiling taps.

. We do not cover saniflo’s or the appliances there attached too.
